No, every aesthetician in Tn will receive the same licensing as the Tn cosmetology board does not recognize an individual as a "medical aesthetician". That title is given when working in a medical setting/medical spa in which the practice will provide advanced aesthetic training for procedures and devices used within their practice.
No, in 2023, Tennessee passed a bill for those that wanted to engage in eyelash extension placement only would have to undergo a 300 Eyelash Specialty program for an actual license in that discipline to actually work in a salon/ spa setting and render services on patrons/public for revenue. In order to do lashes legally, you must hold a cosmetology, aesthetics or Eyelash Specialty License.
No, though we’re eligible for accreditation, we have opted to remain a privately funded institution with no affiliation with the government (title iv funded programs) at this time. Accreditation does not determine the license you'll receive as the license will be the exact same as that of an accredited institution. We are however licensed and in good standing with Tn state board of cosmetology.
